Under these thematic areas, the RDS delivers a number of high impact programmes, designed to meet a unique need within our society. As a charity the RDS cannot make this level of impact without the support, expertise and contribution of others.

- Digitisation
- The RDS library is currently digitising its extensive archive, bringing a 300 year economic and cultural history online.
- As part of the RDS Foundation Programme, the RDS hosts the Dublin Horse Show each year and is the pinnacle event for the Irish sport horse industry, showcasing the best Irish bred horses. This five-day international event includes sport, fashion, shopping and entertainment. The RDS is a driving force behind the National Equestrian Education Pathway (NEEP) being developed to foster top horsemanship in the coming generation also runs a Course Designer Programme to give emerging course designers world-class tuition.
