The RDS Venue ICT and AV infrastructure provides events with a modern, scalable and quality production. Capable of meeting the needs of the most demanding events.
ICT Services
The RDS Venue has a network of expert technical partners to support the various services we deliver including, wired networks, Wi-Fi services, IPTV / Digital Signage and Audio Visual services with built-in audio-visual equipment in the meeting rooms.
There is free indoor Wi-Fi services throughout the venue. This service includes an allocation of 100MB of synchronised bandwidth. Other ICT Services are available upon request including, but not limited to:
- A customised Wi-Fi network (built by the RDS Venue or built by the event organiser) is available upon request at a cost and subject to requirements
- Dedicated SSID Setup: The RDS Venue Wi-Fi service is presented on a number of standard campus wide SSID’s. We can facilitate the setup of customised SSID names for an event for a standard fee
- Additional dedicated bandwidth: RDS Venue provides 100MB of free bandwidth with its free Wi-Fi service. Additional dedicated bandwidth can be purchased for events based on requests.
- Wired Services: A range of wired services can be provided to event organisers on request and subject to cost.
- CCTV Services: The RDS Venue has an IP CCTV network across the campus. We can provide a command centre service and support.
Onsite Audio Visual Services
Creative Technology, CT Ireland (formally known as ION Solutions) is a leading global provider of professional audio visual and broadcast technology systems in Ireland. They have an established reputation for customer service and attention to detail whilst providing quality audio visual technical production services to clients at the RDS Venue. Investment in video server technology, video projection mapping and high brightness projection has allowed them to deliver impressive results for clients. Their bespoke events staging services bring together advice, support and equipment of the highest quality, providing everything from large screen displays to content delivery systems.
Case Study - EFP Perio Master Clinic
EFP Perio Master Clinic was a 2 day Dental conference held in the Concert Hall March 2020. The process began back in 2017 with the initial site visit. The organisers brief from day one was that the ability to see content was vital. The content to be presented was mainly high res images, so clarity was of high importance.
- CT Ireland set up 3 LED screens using our Absen 2.5mm panels.
- One 10m main screen on stage and two 3m relay screens rigged from the ceiling.
- All controlled and distributed with 2 of our Barco S3-4K Video Processors.
- Along with the LED screens we had a digital lectern and a digital moderators table.
COVID-19 was on our doorstep and many of the speakers scheduled to attend had decided not to travel. The client was keen for these speakers to be involved so asked CT what options we had. We presented some options for speakers to remotely present and for the delegates in the hall to interact with questions. We also provided the option for speakers to pre-record their presentation and then played live at the scheduled time over the 2 days, followed by a live video chat between chair and speaker. This all worked seamlessly and meant that those who chose not to travel could still present.
