In December 2021, the RDS and NUI Galway hosted a webinar on the potential of on farm renewable energy to meet the climate change challenge. Host Damien O Reilly was joined by a number of guest speakers and a panel of experts to discuss the issues and how farmers can make a significant contribution to energy supply and climate change mitigation.
Food Systems Summit – National Dialogues
In 2021, the RDS partnered with the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine on a series of four online National Dialogues on Irelands Food System.
The four Dialogues coincided with the publication of Ireland’s draft 2030 Agri-Food Strategy, which was been developed using a food systems approach, building on the work of the RDS to promote climate-smart agriculture.
