RDS Show Jumping Course Designer Programme
The RDS introduced its Course Designer Programme to provide an opportunity for Irish show jumping course designers to gain new skills and experience, to ensure that they fulfil their potential and help the sport to grow and develop it to a higher level within the country. In 2019 three course designers were chosen to receive a bursary to further develop their course design skills and qualifications. Colm Quinn from Co. Cavan, Aaron McCusker from Co. Antrim and John Doyle from Co. Wexford each received an award of €2,000.
In 2020, the RDS intends to run an FEI Level 1 Refresher Course for course designers. It will be run in conjunction with Horse Sport Ireland as the national Equestrian Federation.
