About us
For nearly 295 years the RDS has responded to the needs and priorities of Ireland, addressing gaps in the development of our culture and economy and have helped shape the country. The RDS is focused on a long-term vision for Ireland and five key areas underpin our work: agriculture, the arts, enterprise, equestrianism and science. The RDS harnesses people’s energy and ideas, we identify the needs within each area and bring momentum and scale to fulfil those needs. Through this, we help develop and nurture long-lasting positive impact in Irish society.
RDS Foundation Festival - Finding Common Ground
Join us on 15 & 16 April to explore how Ireland can address shared environmental and societal challenges, especially climate action, sustainable resource use, and skills gaps. Building on the RDS’s heritage of advancing agriculture, science, industry, and the arts for public good, the festival offers a platform for open dialogue, collaboration, and cross‑sector learning at a time when complex challenges require collective solutions.
RDS Vision 300 Series
Next to feature in the RDS Vision 300 series is PJ Mathews and Denyse Julien. In this episode, they explore the deep-rooted connection between culture and agriculture, and examine how this historic relationship can serve as a powerful case study for Ireland’s role in addressing climate change.
