The RDS Music Awards Programme offers a prize fund of €23,000 across three separate awards: The RDS Music Bursary Award, the RDS Jago Award and the RDS Collins Memorial Performance Award. Each comes with a professional performance opportunity courtesy of RDS partnerships with the National Symphony Orchestra, RTÉ Concert Orchestra, the Centre Culturel Irlandais in Paris and the Blackwater Valley Opera Festival.
The winners of the following five senior Feis Ceoil competitions are eligible to compete for this annual prize: Morris Grant Bursary (Piano), Gervase Elwes Cup (Vocal), Mc Cullough Cup (Woodwind), Senior Brass Recital (Brass) and the Aileen Gore Cup (Strings). Applicants were invited to attend an interview and performance in June at the RDS Concert Hall. The shortisted artists include:
