The Main Catalogue contains records for books, pamphlets, journals, manuscripts, archival materials and special collections.
Please note that the RDS Library & Archives will be closed from 9 April to 2 July 2013 to allow essential maintenance works. There will be no borrowing service for RDS Members and no researcher service for Guest Readers during this time. The RDS Library is undergoing an extensive cataloguing project over the next five years. The RDS Library gratefully acknowledges the support of the Heritage Council and the Cultural Institutions Unit of the Department of Arts, Sport and Tourism in this project.
Members can access their account information by using their Membership number and PIN. PINs are available in person from the Library Desk. Please bring your Membership card with you when you request your PIN.

This digital collection contains images from the RDS Archive and is being added to continuously. RDS Photos Online is searchable. Users can also purchase and then download images directly to their computers for their personal use.
The Old Dublin Society (ODS) library collection is held on permanent loan by the RDS. The books in the collection are for reference and research only and may not be borrowed.
This archive contains the digitized images and transcripts of the correspondence of George Frances FitzGerald (1851-1901), the eminent Irish scientist who played an important role in the development of electromagnetic theory.
