Wednesday Evening Bridge Playing
All Members of the Society may attend Wednesday evening bridge playing. Members may bring a guest to play on one evening of each month, except on the dates of major competitions.
Playing bridge provides an ideal opportunity to meet other Members in the pleasant surrounds of the Library. During the Library closure period (9 April to 2 July, 2013), Bridge playing will be in the Minerva Suite unless otherwse advised. A small charge is incurred per session.
Each year there are four major competitions:
- RDS Perpetual Trophy
- Marie Owens Trophy
- Gwen Morgan Trophy
- Pairs Competition for the Bridge Club President's Prize
