RDS Champion of Champions Awarded
Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Mr Simon Coveney T.D. and RDS President Mr Fonsie Mealy presented the 2011 RDS Champion of Champions Awards this afternoon in Ballsbridge. With a prize fund of over €9,000, the Awards continue an RDS involvement in livestock breeding which began with the first Spring Show on the lawn of Leinster House in 1831. Read More
RDS Gold Medal for Industry
Dr Bernard Collins is the 2011 recipient of the prestigious RDS Gold Medal for Industry in recognition of his extraordinary contribution to the development of the biomedical industry in Ireland and for the work undertaken by him to support and care for families affected by cancer. Read more
RDS Show Jumping Forum
The Royal Dublin Society hosted a Show Jumping Forum on January 25 in the RDS Concert Hall. With key objectives and guest speakers, the Forum highlighted some very real issues for the sport and for its development into the future. Read more
World Flower Show 2014
The RDS is delighted to announce that it will host The World Flower Show 2014. The event will take place in June 2014 and includes a flower arrangers’ conference with over 1,200 participants and The World Flower Show, an exhibition of flower arrangements. Read more
RDS Primary Science Fair
Over 3,000 primary school students representing 100 schools from across the island of Ireland will display their projects at the RDS Primary Science Fair which is part of the BT Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition. Read More
