The RDS National Crafts Competition aims to promote the practise of craft in Ireland and to encourage the highest standards of design and technique in both traditional and contemporary craft disciplines.
The Competition deadline has now passed and entries are being shortlisted by the judges. Regular updates will be posted on the RDS Foundation Blog. Visit the photo gallery for examples of previous winners' works and their testimonials.
Important dates for the 2010 Competition:
- Deadline Stage Two: June 21 & 22
- Collection of unsuccessful entries: July 16 & 17
- Competition Prize-giving: July 30
- Exhibition opens during the Dublin Horse Show: August 4-8 *(entry fee applies)
- Exhibition opens to general public: August 9-12 (free entry)
- Collection of craft work: August 12 & 13
- RDS National Crafts Competition Prizewinners' Travelling Exhibition: August to December(Confirmation of venues to follow in due course).
