On Thursday, May 20, 2010 Professor Jim Johnston, recipient of the 2010 ISI Public Lecture Award, discussed his cutting edge research which is helping to identify the causes of cancer and is making great strides in terms of improving methods of diagnosis and treatment.
On May 6, 2010, Mr Paul Mulvaney, Managing Director of ESB Ecars gave a lecture outlining how Ireland is well placed to be a test bed for Electric Vehicles. This is an exciting area with challenging goals such as a target of 10% electric vehicles by 2020, announced by Government in 2009.

In this lecture, 'Ireland on the Edge – Energy Security', Mr Declan Murphy, founder and CEO of The Ecology Foundation outlined the challenges that Ireland faces as a result of our overreliance on imported fuels. This lecture took place on March 25, 2010 as part of the RDS Energy Lecture Series.
