On Saturday, April 24, a group of RDS Members led by Drs Chris Nicholas and Claire Mulhall (geologists) headed for the Antrim coast to spend two days learning about the history of the area and to be amazed by a history which is measured in units of a million years as a basic measurement of time...

22-year old French horn player Joseph Ryan won this year’s €10,000 RDS Music Bursary Award. Out of a pool of incredibly talented young musicians, Joseph emerged as the winner.

The Dublin Method, cancer treatment and the RDS

I never cease to be amazed about the things that the RDS has done for Irish people both directly and indirectly since it was founded in 1731. When tweeting our forthcoming lecture on cancer treatment it occurred to me that by organising this lecture, the RDS was continuing an association with cancer research that began back in 1904.
