What is in our little black book?

Yesterday I was cataloguing the last trolley of journals from our Irish Journal collection. I had already begun typing a blog post to inform everyone about the latest part of our collection to be re-catalogued, but then I made a discovery! In the middle of a run of the James Joyce Broadsheet I found a black notebook and when I opened the notebook on the first page was written “Valuation of the Library of the Royal Dublin Society”.
