This exhibition, organised in conjunction with COMITES Irlanda, is a compilation of photographs drawn from a private collection of the late Cavaliere Barbato Borza and other sources.

Cavaliere Barbato Borza (known as Barbi) was born in Dublin on 11th January 1959 of Italian parents from Casalattico – a village in the Valle di Comino –south of Rome, north of Naples.

He had a fascination for the stories and traditions of his ancestors. This exhibition is the result of many years of collecting photographs from the Italian families who came to reside and work in Ireland from the end of the 1800s to 2005.

Please note: The RDS Library is open Monday, Tuesday, Friday 10.00am to 5.00pm and until 6.00pm on Wednesday and Thursday. The Library is closed at the weekend.
